Subsidiary of Sterlite Power Transmission Ltd (SPTL), itself part of Vedanta Group, focused on developing and operating high-voltage power transmission infrastructure across India and internationally.

Founded in 2010, Sterlite Grid has built multiple inter-state projects totaling around 6,000 circuit km, with investments around ₹10,000 crore .

• Developed eight major projects covering 6,000 circuit km across Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Rajasthan, and other states .
• First South East Asian private firm to issue AAA(SO)-rated infrastructure bonds (₹925 crore in Jan 2016, 17.5 year tenure), backed by strong cash flows under government owned CTU TSAs.
• Leading-edge technologies used, such as LiDAR surveys and helicopter-assisted construction, to expedite project delivery.

Recent Growth & Capacity Expansion

• FY 2024–25 saw 8,830 ckt km of lines commissioned, nearly double the previous year.Notable additions include rapid deployment of 765 kV lines and the milestone 1200 kV upgrade on the Wardha–Aurangabad corridor.

Renewable Integration & Green Energy Corridors

• About ₹26,000 cr in transmission projects has been approved in Rajasthan to support its solar energy expansion.
• India's plan for a 500 GW renewable grid by 2030 demands ~114,687 ckt km of lines and 776 GVA of substation capacity, requiring an estimated ₹8.2 trillion investment by 2027.
• Green Energy Corridors Phase II includes ~10,753 ckt km of line additions and 27,546 MVA substations by 2025–26.
